As part of the ALLEGRO project, we are excited to share progress on the O-band Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers (SOAs), designed for seamless integration with NVIDIA’s O-band switch. These SOAs will serve as amplifiers at the input and output ports, enhancing the performance of the optical switch.

📌 Key Design Highlights:
✅ Optimized Layout: Featuring 16 U-shaped SOA arrays with a 250 µm pitch, ensuring efficient integration.
✅ Passive Waveguide Testing: Two passive waveguides are incorporated to evaluate passive losses.
✅ Alignment with SiN Platform: The design is fully compatible with the O-band spot size converter waveguides for smooth optical transitions.
