Continuing our exploration of dynamic, quantum-secured networking, Figure 27(e) highlights the Secret Key Rate (SKR) performance of our QKD channel across multiple switching scenarios.
We established the dedicated quantum link between Node 1 and Node 2 (grey line) as our performance benchmark. Impressively, all configurations maintained a minimum SKR of 636.6 bps, showcasing the robustness of our QKD system under real-world conditions.
🧩 Our key achievement: a heterogeneous quantum network capable of:
- 📡 Entanglement distribution
- 🔐 Prepare-and-measure QKD
- ⚡ High-speed classical communication
- 🔄 Coexistence and dynamic switching on a deployed fiber network
We rigorously tested the network’s switching capabilities and analyzed how classical and quantum traffic interact. The results emphasize the viability of integrated quantum-classical communication—crucial for future secure infrastructure.
Proud of what the team has accomplished under the ALLEGRO initiative. Looking forward to the next phase!
