Excited to share a quick look into one of the core elements of the Allegro project — Workflows Implementation.
As part of our effort to deliver secure, high-performance optical networks, we’ve detailed workflows for multiple identified scenarios. These workflows are initiated post-lightpath establishment over the optical network (Step 0 in our sequence).
A key highlight is the LPSec (Lightpath Security) mechanism, which integrates an initial public key exchange via the SDN controller during provisioning. This enables the generation of a unique KxF header pattern that secures optical channels between endpoints.
For clarity and simplicity, workflow specifics have been intentionally omitted at this stage — but rest assured, this is a crucial step toward advancing secure optical networking at scale.
