Allegro EU Project Unveils Self-Healing Optical Amplified Line Architecture at ICTON 2024

  • Introduces a control architecture combining SDN control with a GNPy-based digital twin for real-time QoT (Quality of Transmission) assessment.
  • Enables soft failure recovery by automatically tuning amplifier operating points in response to changing network conditions or component failures.
  • Demonstrates the efficacy of autonomous, telemetry-driven self-healing within partially disaggregated optical networks, enhancing resilience and operational efficiency.
