Allegro EU Project Unveils Extended Access Architecture via Light-Trees at ONDM 2024

  • Proposes an innovative light-tree architecture enabling P2MP coherent transceivers to be deployed deeper in metro-core networks.
  • Enhances multiplexing efficiency, reduces latency, minimizes transceiver cost, and optimizes resource allocation.
  • Simulation results show significant advantage when light-trees span up to 200 km, regardless of traffic conditions.
