Highlights:
- Two converged metro + PON architectures are proposed, integrating coherent transceivers and edge ROADMs for access/metro convergence.
- Experimental results show feasibility of ≥ 200 G per wavelength, and up to 400 G, under PON-class loss budgets (~29–35 dB).
- Detailed physical-layer modeling includes OSNR, ROADM insertion loss, and tight filtering effects supporting next-gen coherent access networks.
