A new research article titled “Synergizing Hyper-Accelerated Power Optimization and Wavelength-Dependent QoT-Aware Cross-Layer Design in Next-Generation Multi-Band EONs” has been published in the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC), May 2025 issue.
The paper proposes an advanced cross-layer framework for next-generation multi-band elastic optical networks, integrating:
- Hyper-accelerated power optimization mechanisms
- Wavelength-dependent quality-of-transmission (QoT) modeling
- Joint physical and network-layer optimization
The results demonstrate how coordinated cross-layer design can significantly improve both energy efficiency and QoT reliability, supporting scalable and sustainable future optical infrastructures.
