This paper addresses the urgent need for quantum-resilient network security in the face of advancing quantum computing capabilities. The authors propose an integrated framework that combines classical cryptographic mechanisms, post-quantum cryptography, and quantum key distribution (QKD) to ensure long-term confidentiality and trust in future communication networks.
By jointly considering security, interoperability, and deployability, the work provides a practical roadmap for transitioning current infrastructures toward quantum-safe networking, with particular relevance for optical and high-capacity communication systems.
